My dream
„My Dream“
i had a dream last night
i dream of a dragon
a dragon red like fire
a dragon pure and tender
in the dream the dragon flew
it’s tail whipping in the wind
it’s scales shimmering like the moon off the water
her beauty beyond compare
i had a dream where good existed
and the dragon was it’s keeper
she fought for passion with a vengence like firei had a dream last night
i dream of glory
the glory for one dragon
the only dragon left in existence
but not the only born form hope
in the dream the dragon flew
she caste happiness and purity
and cried for hatred and death
and she sang for innocence and love
i had a dream where beauty flourished
and man and beast could co-exist
where my happiness was for this dragon
and her beauty was cast on me

Moon dragon
Moon Dragon
Seen not by our eyes but they are true,
they watch over us whatever we do.Coming from times of anchent lore,
and then even long, long before. We see threw the dragons eyes,
telling between truth and lies.We listen when our mind is clear,
a dragons call we can hear. They are guardians of the moon and night,
they protect us when we perform our rights. We use their power with great care,
we have found the dragons lair.

Monster
Monster
Moving back and forth, the moon throws shadows
Across the noisy room. People scream as glasses clink.
Inky blackness sweeps over the crowd, and as
Their mouths keep moving, the noise stops. Their features
Are twisted; their gaping mouths and eyes gnarled
Figures in my mind. Suddenly I realize it is not them who
Have changed, it’s me. Looking in the mirror there is not
The person I have come to know as myself. Someone
Better? The image of a young girl stretched over a
Hideously ugly, ominous creature. As soon as the
Thoughts have escaped my mind, the flesh on the mirrored
Image melts away, revealing a terrible creature with
Blackened skin and red bulging eyes. I realize with horror
That this is me, and as I try to scream nothing escapes
My mouth but a venemous rasp full of hate and anguish.
Those in the room I had seen as distorted now look at me –
I am the monster. I try to stop them, but as I do flames
Shoot out my mouth, scorching those who are brave enough
To get close to try and help me. But how can they if I can’t
Change myself from this monster?
Miolnir
Miolnir
Dragons do not die. They sleep
And watch, and dream of the world they left behind.
Not the magic sword, the jewel and the skimpy maiden
But the naked figure with the power of the mind
As their only weapon, and the upraised hand
And the maiden choosing a wiser way than marriage
When there is knowledge to be won.Dragons need no gold. They hoard words.
Sentences and clauses are kept tight in their teeth.
For they duel not with foolish steel, but with Words
The ones that shaped the molten world, and make
Swords softer than clay with one taunt.
Their riddles tie men’s bones in knots
Leaving them helpless under quivering curses.Dragons use no wings. They fly
On the winds they call for themselves, and the imagination
Of the ones who speak them forth, seeking runes
Long forgotten, but strumming with their mouldering power.
They soar beyond worlds, through time, outside of space
Where mockery cannot touch and there is only the taste
Of stars like candles waiting to be blown out.Dragons fear no man. The knights
They have seen have only faith in the weapons given
By well meaning wizards, who do not know the ancient Law
That Love and Honour are the only armour for a hero
And that Ignorance and Fear are his only foes.
They only see the swirling magic light, the orb, the stone
And do not reach beyond for their Power.Dragons breathe no fire. Theirs is the flame
That kindles in the heart and inspires the hand to create
Or the mind to wonder, or the eyes to roam beyond
And see the colours in the dark, or the song in the air.
Theirs is the burning light that guides the seeker
and brings the Shadow to be faced
That all who seek may be made whole.

Metamorphosis
Metamorphosis
The warm evening air hung tense,
my apprehension about this evening had begun several nights hence.
Outside all that can be heard are the heaviest of rains,
as the dragon’s presence fills the room and magic courses my veins.
Slowly I begin the chant,
in foreign tongue like some mindless rant.
Melodious words on the tip of my tongue,
to become a great creature of fiery lung.
I can feel a force rising deep within,
to fill my soul with power and keep it in.
A wave of energy encircles my soul,
while around my body the winds of change encoil.
Like a shiver up my spine it goes,
then into my mouth and throat it flows.
My skin into burnished scales is mold,
as out from my back great leathern wings unfold.
My fingers and toes become the sharpest claws,
and armored scales lacking even the smallest flaws.
A light in my soul so fiery and true,
to shed this human form and become something new.
And the time comes when the dragon that is I enters this realm,
as the ethereal barrier do I finally overwhelm.
My hopes and dreams are finally achieved,
when apprehension and worries all are relieved.
I spread my great wings to soar of in the sky,
on warm morning winds as into the sunrise I fly.
To soar across the land with the grace of a dove,
as I gaze down upon forests from the sky high above.
I glide over mountains on the back of the wind,
to float down to the sea and gaze across ocens without end.
When evening falls I make my way across moonlit night,
to join fantastic creatures in a historic flight.
The quest of my soul has finally come to pass,
as my dream of becoming a dragon has come true at last.
Maneater
Maneater
Sultry and soft like the sweetest morning dew,
her smile is good and warm when she looks at you.
So perfect she seems with her heartfelt smile,
while her true motives churn within all the while.
A form so soft and fluid of motion,
to look into her eyes is to have swallowed a love potion.
Her body curvaceous and full of womanly charm,
but in the end her loving arms will only bring you harm.
The soft caress of her warm soothing touch,
for all but the strongest is far far too much.
In her loving arms she craves you so,
to make her way off to her lair with your body in tow.
With love she will lavish and tempt your soul,
to pull you in deeper so she can take you in whole.
Soon for her shall be the joy as your souls mesh.
as onto her tongue you will go as she endeavors to consume your flesh.
From her tongue and into her throat you will go,
then as a struggling lump into her belly you flow.
Now the dragoness can relax her belly full,
for none can resist the maneater’s pull.
Magi Dragons
"Magi Dragons"
Among the eldest races of dragonkind,
they are the most difficult to find.
Of the greatest skill in magic were they,
once their great power could turn night into day.
Long ago in the past this was true,
yet now in the present they are scattered and few.
Ancient forests and hills were once their home,
and from these places far and wide they would roam.
Untill one day when their magic was lost,
the pendulum had swung back and to them at great cost.
A cataclysm did not befall them rather they just faded away,
and we are left with but a few Magi dragons today.
Of those few wondrous creatures that today yet still remain,
bring us joy and from our sorrows help us refrain.
To catch a glimpse of their wondrous form so beautiful and fair,
to see their coat of tiny iridescent scales and flowing long silken hair.
To gaze into their warm and glowing eyes,
to watch them as on great wings they mount to the skies.
Their movements so graceful and poised yet their body so powerful and strong,
something that would make one wonder if in imagination was where they belong.
For this is why they are so rare and hard to find,
and they appear only to those whose imagination refuses to be confined.
Looking for someone
„Looking for Someone"
I can see their fire far in distance,
Between shadows, between lights,
The night awaits for your flights,
There I’ll find that Dragon sightI feel them; they’re looking at me,
Out from the deep, they are here,
Red, blue, black… too many colors,
So my eyes, …. so my body, will have to follow,I can see them in the distance,
Probably they are coming for me
Look…, look! Also you can see!
Dragons are here, they are here for thee.

A knight in the life of a dragon
A KNIGHT IN THE LIFE OF A DRAGON
In a cave cool and dark, sleeps a beast, with beating heart.
One eye open in search of danger,
Fully aware of the approaching stranger.
The footsteps, closer to the beast at rest.
Who dare enter the Dragon Nest?
A shimmer of light reflects off his sword.
He moves still forward with out a word.
Drawing the steel from the sheath on his side,
In a haze of darkness, he seems to glide.
The beast is now fully awake,
He raises his head at the silent break.
Who disturbes my peaceful slumber?”
What are you? And how many in number?”
Rest easy Great Beast, I mean you no harm”
I can tell by your teeth I have caused alarm.”
He lowers his staff and is taken aback.
I am one in number, no threat of attack.”
The Dragon in his magestic grace,
extends his neck and growls in his face.
Why have you come then if not for my head?”
If I thought you a threat, would you not be dead?”
I have been sent by the King of Mauldon”
It is my duty to see his will, done”
He demands proof you your death”
With this, I must bring your last breath”
Perhaps it’s your death he wishes to see”
To send one like you, to kill one like ME!”
Be gone from me O’ Knight of Mauldon”
Or you’ll not see the morrow’s sun”
Look closely Knight at the scares I wear”
I do not cringe or tremble with fear”
I’ll give you a breath, but not the last from my lung”
This breath is a warning! The final one!”
The air is charged with impending doom,
as the dragon stands and fills the room.
The Beast roars out his battle cry,
as lightning and thunder fill the sky.
The Knight determined to fill his vow,
raised his sword with a mocking bow.
With a swish of steel, and batting of wings
tis a battle, to end all things.
For one today will loose his life.
As fate would have it, so falls the Knight.
Of dragons and humankind
Of Dragons and Humankind
Dragons they seek yet they know not their name,
they search for these creatures dwelling in fire and flame.
Oh if only the dragon’s true nature they know,
rather than the seeds of myth they sow.
The legends that they search for in truth do not exist,
for the dragons of their made-up stores are but shadows in the mist.
But the truth can they never realize,
unless they in their dreams look into dragon eyes.
Many have come before and more will surely come after,
yet they shall never learn how the dragon they may master.
The dragon’s true nature it elludes them,
for it is something they can never comprehend.
They cannot know the dragon for they fear what they do not understand,
and in this truth lies their tragedy and the curse of man.
Yet there are thoes cherrished few whose mind’s and heart’s are clear,
and it is to them that in dreams the dragon shall appear.
For the dragons will know them when they see them,
among the rocks of humanity they are a clear unclouded gem.
And to them the dragons shall tell their secrets,
and they shall be enlightened above their earthly kin.
For they unlike their fellow seekers who seek power and to command,
shall one day with dragon eyes look and understand.

Heroes
Heroes
across the starry sky we ride
on griffin’s backs we glide
to slay the blood red dragon
four great heroes and Iin to the wrym’s lair we skulk
and while gaping at his treasure’s bulk
the monster slayed our gallant knight
three great heroes and Iin to the woods we ran
I taunted him, „catch us if you can!“
then I found our elven archer gone
two great heroes and Ifor a good nights rest our bodies yearned
so I left in search of food, and when I returned
I found both friends scorched by the dragon’s flame
no great heroes and II unraveled the world and searched all the land
when I found the dragon I challenged him with sword in hand
we battled ‚till, from countless wounds, we both began to fall
no……great……heroes…………………….
Guardian
Guardian
I am he who shall watch over you,
your destiny, shall I hold.
Near you I will always be,
my wings protect you from hurting.
In our minds will always be,
thoughts of us together.
As you grow, year by year,
I remain, ever watching.
If you need, I will come,
promises are mine to keep.
As years pass day by day,
the vigil I will never cease.
I will go wherever you travel,
life’s ancient mysteries to unravel.
As you sail across open ocean,
I calm the waves with soothing motion.
When you toil through dusty desert sands,
I pour down sweet rain from foreign lands.
And your soul through life continues on,
forever I remain your guardian.
Goodbye my friend
„Goodbye my friend“
Magnificent dragon flying high,
Tell me! Why is it that you cry?
For your covered in rubies, diamonds and gold,
You are the reason magical tales are told.Graceful and dazzling you glide through the sky,
Strong and cunning you’ll never die.
So tell me now, please don’t lie,
Just let me know, why do you cry?For why I cry is not to hear,
It tells of a story not for young ears.
But there comes a time when we all must die,
That is the reason for which I cry.I may be covered in rubies, diamonds and gold,
But like everyone I grow old.
So you see I’m neither graceful, dazzling nor strong,
I’m simply the same as everyone.Leave me alone up on this rock, staring out to sea,
Up in the clouds, way up high, he’s calling me.
For my time on this Earth has come to an end,
I’ll think of you always, goodbye my friend.

First day of spring
First Day of Spring
On the First Day of Spring
As the Morning Glory blooms
And the Shadow of the Dragon
Dances down the temple steps
He emerged from the budding oak
and stemming honeysuckle.
His movements were fluid,
His eyes were gentle,
His scales a liquid black,
His horns and claws a soft silver.Slowly, He approached me
Sensing my fear and curiosity.
He explained He had chosen me
for his human counterpart.
From that moment on
His Heart and mine were one.
Through the seasons and time,
I learned His ways as He learned mine.
Always together, if not in body
by Mind, Heart and Spirit. The last time I saw Him was
the day before the First Day of Spring.
He said our time together was done.
It was time for Him to go.
On the First Day of Spring,
As the Morning Glory recesses
And the Shadow of the Dragon
Is fading from the temple steps,
He had departed ’neath the budding oak
and stemming honeysuckle.I know He has gone
Where I cannot follow.
But His Heart and Mind
Are still vivid within me.
And on the First Day of Spring,
When the Morning Glory smiles at the sun
And the Shadow of the Dragon
Prances about the temple steps,
I can still feel his soft scales
And hear his wise voice. And I realize no matter where He is,
He is always right beside me.
A final farewell
„A Final Farewell“

Standing on the cliffs and looking out at the horizon-
I see you out there:
with your wings stretched out at your sides
and finally being able to fly-
just like you always wanted.Side by side with the love of your life,
you soar through the skies and disappear from sight.
And as I watch these things happen,
tears start flowing from my eyes.
Because I realized…
the day you fly away is the day we say good bye.
One of us stays grounded while the other takes flight. As I hold you close for one last time,
I close my eyes and remember this moment for the rest
of my life.
Even though the thought of saying good bye hurts,
I know this is what you deserve…
Your happiness is what matters most to me-
even if it means letting you go,
enabling you to be free.
Your life awaits you out there & I can’t hold you
down;
I must let you go and try to live on my own now…With tears still streaming down my cheeks-
I hug and kiss you for one last time.
With your gentle wings around me,
your face pressed up against mine-
I feel that safeness I once felt not so long ago;
the feeling of being loved and cared for…
And though I try to hang on, I know I must let go.And with one final squeeze, that one last touch-
we finally say good bye.
With one swift gust, you soar through the skies
while I stand here and watch you for one last time. And as I walk away, the last of my tears fall to the
lonely ground…

Dragon Tears
Dragon Tears;
I look at the world and see all that we have lost, and my heart cries out.
I see how shallow human beings have become, and my soul cries for
understanding.
What have we gained, what have we learned as we increase with
power? We have a scarred, polluted earth, hellholes of concrete, water not fit to drink and air not fit to breath.
Our science, our techonology has come at a horrible price.
I think of the noble dragons, those who have fled this wolrd in fear of extiction. They were right to flee from earth.
I wish I could have gone with them.
Man has forgotten a different time, a time when magic beings walked the earth, and the forests were pristine.
Then the Dragons soared in the skies, the unicorns roamed the forests and fairies played in the flowers.
But the foolish humans fear what they do not understand.
We can never understand creatures of magic.
We hunted the dragon and the unicorn, drove them into hiding.
The magical creatures left our world for the magic places made just for them. Some lucky people have found their way into these amgic worlds, and they understood the gift they were given.
I have read the old fairytales and legends, seeking to know these creatures.
When the warriors destroyed the dragon, they knew our world was not safe for them.
When we lost these magic beings we lost a part of ourselves.
The world will never be the same again.
We know only that Dragons and unicorns exist in fairytales, but we do not know they once walked among us. Tears fall from my eyes when I weep for the friends I have never met.
I weep for the lost Dragons.
I weep for all that we have lost because of our foolishness.
If only the knights understood what they really were.
Some dragons are good, not the ferocious beasts of legend.
Dragons haunt my dreams.
I know they are still out there somewhere, in a world far away.
The loss of earth’s magic will destroy us.
Now we our left with nothing but techonlogy and a wasted earth.
Soon humanities own arrogance, our own greed will destroy us.
I ponder these things with a heavy heart.
I know the briefness of my own life, it will be extinguished like a candle snuffed out.
This old world will slowly crumble to beath.
I pray for God to save us, save some remnant of the human soul.
Soon there will be a new heaven and a new earth, and the Dragons will live in peace, and this earth will not be destroyed.

Dragons of winter
Dragons of Winter
As the first fingers of frost touch the ground,
the chilled whistle of the wind is the only sound.
Snow and ice now blanket the land,
marred only by mysterious footprints like tracks in the sand.
Silent footfalls can be heard in the misty early morn,
a shadowy chamealeon ventures out from caves where it was born.
A creature of mystery with scales the color of ice and snow,
and who’s chilling breath is colder than the strongest wind may blow.
From northern lands of ancient yore,
they browse the snow drifts and ruins for books of magic and lore.
In caves of crystal and ice they rest,
like silent sentinels they guard many a crystal nest.
These mysterious dragons of ice and snow,
though rarely seen into the pages of history they flow.
And as quietly they rise from the mist and appear,
they fade from sight into the moonless night and disappear.
Dragons of the mount
Dragons of the Mount
They lair in lofty mountain peaks,
in windy tones of ancient tounges the speak.
Though on quests they travel far afield,
rarely do they exercise the power they wield.
The keepers of the windy heights,
on full moon nights they soar in flights.
To land and sup on the dew of morn,
and return to misty mountains from whence they were born.
These ancient protectors harken to the wind,
to go forth and all of nature defend.
So intimately with the strands of life they entwine,
that never from their watchpost shall they resign.
Always searching always going,
always seeking always flowing.
Never stopping save to smell a rose,
for only chance determines where the dragon goes.
Dragons of sumemr
Dragons of Summer
As summer’s heat penetrates earth and soil,
dragons awaken as their bodies uncoil.
A warmth of life causing myths to arise,
to take up on wings of fantasy mount to the skies.
Hot summer winds blow as dragons soar by,
belching out sulferous flame as over the low hills they fly.
The sky is blackened by many a horned back and leathern wing,
over the lands they soar while of nature they sing.
A melodious chant on the back of the wind,
spun on golden throat strings that echo without end.
Shining backs like gemstones and beacons of light,
to reflect upon mountains and hills as they pass over in flight.
Ancient legends now flock to fill the sky,
with great leathern winged myths grinning as they soar by.
As daylight passes into evening and then into beautious night,
they soar off into the sunset in a single glorious flight.
